Description: Documents can be attached to any object in DCI, including but not limited to : funding sources, cost centers, programs, employees, clients, and entries. All users can add attachments to objects if their role(s)/permission(s) allow them to view the details of the object.

*Please note: Attachments are limited to 15 MB. Like all information in DCI, attachments cannot be deleted or removed from the system. If an attachment was added by mistake or is no longer needed, use the archive feature. Only Super Users super users and the user who created the attachment will be permitted to archive and unarchive an attachment.

  1. Open the Details Page of the object for which you want to manage attachments
  2. Navigate to Click the Attachments tab below the object details to view existing attachments
  3. Use thesearch filters to narrow the search results (the status filter defaults to Active)
  4. The status filter defaults to Active , change the status to view Active, Archive or Both for a list of attachment resultsbut can be updated to Archived or Both (active and archived).
    1. To download the an attachment
      1. For a single attachment, click on the down arrow icon under the Download column
        1. Archived documents cannot be downloaded
      2. For multiple attachments, either click the Select All button above the attachments checkbox in the header rowto select all documents , or click the Checkbox checkbox next to the specific documents you would like to download and then click .
        1. Downloading multiple attachments is only available for employee and client profiles
      3. Click the blue Download Selected Attachments button
        1. When prompted, click Yes to download attachments, or Cancel to return to the attachment details.
          1. If you click By clicking Yes, the attachments will be downloaded as a .zip file to your local computerNOTE: Downloading multiple attachments is only available for Employee Profiles and Client Profilesthe computer
    2. To archive an attachment
      1. Select Click the box checkbox on the left of the attachment date row and click the blue Archive Selected Attachments button
      2. Click Yes to confirm or No to cancel
    3. To unarchive an attachment (Super User only)
      1. Open the attachment details page by clicking on the row of the archived attachment
      2. Click ActionsSelect on Actions button
      3. Select Unarchive Attachment from the Actions dropdowndrop-down menu
    4. To add a new attachment
      1. Select Click Actions button
      2. Select New Attachment from the the Actions dropdowndrop-down menu
