Description:  In this topic you , the user will learn how to make enter a Punch with Voice EVV. Voice EVV punch with voice client attestation (*EVV) in the mobile app. Voice attestation allows the client to recite a phrase in the  DCI mobile app for the employee to record a punch using Voice as the EVV method.mobile app for the employee to record a punch using voice as the attestation method.

*Please note: EVV is determined by each state in conjunction with federal law.

The instructions below are for collecting voice attestation at clock out only, however, voice attestation may be prompted at intervals determined by the organization. Options include:

  • Clock in only

  • Clock out only

  • Clock in and clock out

  • Clock in, clock out, and defined intervals (e.g., hourly)

Clock In on the Mobile App

  1. Open the DCI mobile EVV app

  2. Log in Log in to your personal profile

  3. Click the blue Click Clock In button on the Dashboard

    1. NOTE - The Clock In button will not display if you have an open shift. If you login and you see the blue Continue to ClockoutClock Out button is displayed , you instead of Clock In, this means the user did not clock out of your their last shift and have needs to complete that the clock out process before you can clock clocking in again.

  4. Complete the the Clock In screen

    1. Client - If you have one Client only, then this field will be automatically filled out for you. If you have more than one Client click on the field and then select your client from the listthere is only one client, the field will auto-populate. If there is more than one client, click the field to select the appropriate client then click OK to confirm.

    2. Service Code - If you have one Service Code only, then this field will be automatically filled out for you. If you have more than one Service Code click on the field and then select your client from the list.

    3. Cost Center - Cost Center will be filled out automatically. There is no action to take here.

  5. Click the Continue button

  6. Click Confirm Clock In to complete the clock in process

Clock Out on the Mobile App

  1. Open the DCI mobile EVV app

  2. Log in Log in to your personal profile.

  3. Click the blue Click Continue to Clockout button.

  4. Click Confirm.

  5. Click Voice

  6. Click Confirm through the alert

  7. Click Voice

    1. If the device requires, allow the app to record audio by selecting While using the app.

      1. A computer voice will recite a phrase for the client to repeat

      2. Hand the device to the client and have them speak into the device to record the verification message in their voice

    5. Click the Blue Save

    6. Click text on the Main Menu Confirm to validate the voice recording

  8. Add optional notes or attachments.Notes and/or Attachments

    1. Add notes

    2. Once EVV verification has been completed, you are able to add notes and attachments from your visit.

    3. The note functionality works using the device keyboard of your mobile device. You can enter notes in DCI the same way that you would type a text message or email on your mobile device. This means that if you have . If talk-to-text is enabled as an option on your the mobile device, you can use the microphone feature may be used to enter your notes by talking.

    4. Entering notes is Optional, follow your organization’s requirements regarding note taking

NOTE: Depending on your device settings, you may receive an alert the first time the first time you select Voice EVV. If you get the following alert, Allow DCI EVV to record audio, then click While using the app to enable Voice EVV.

Voice EVV

  1. Click Voice

    1. The Voice Verification window will open

  2. Click the Red button at the bottom of the page to start voice recording

    1. A computer voice will recite a phrase for the client to repeat

    2. Hand the device to the client and have them speak into the device to record their voice

  3. Click the Red button at the bottom of the page again to stop voice recording

  4. Click the Blue Save text on the Main Menu to validate the voice recording
