Change Password

Description: In this topic you will learn how to change your password. DCI allows a user to change their password at any time in the system settings.

  1. Log in with your Log in to personal profile
  2. Click Settings (person icon , next to your name on the username in the upper right corner of the main menu)
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown drop-down menu
  4. Click Change Password on the sub menusubmenu
  5. Enter Current Password
  6. Enter New Password according to the following password criteria
    1. Must be at least 10 characters
    2. Must contain 1 uppercase letter, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
    3. Must not contain more than two repeated characters in a row
    4. The password should be different from the 3 previous passwords
    5. Password should not contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name that exceed two consecutive charactersHover over the i icon to display your organization password criteriaPassword criteria and policy is set by your organization security settings
  7. Enter New Password again in Confirm Password field
  8. Click blue Change Password button to complete the change
  9. Click Yes to confirmation alert window
  10. Your The password has been successfully updated changed when the success Password Changed Successfully message is displayed in on a green bar

Forgot Password

Description: In this topic you will learn what to do if you forget your password.

  1. There is a Forgot your password link on the login page
    1. Web portal - Click the blue
    On the DCI Portal login page a forgot password function
    1. For the web portal click the Forgot your password? blue hyper link hyperlink on the login pageFor the mobile
    2. app click the Mobile app - Click the blue Forgot Password? blue hyperlink on the login page
  2. Enter your the email address and select the click Send Reset Email button 
  3. Locate the email sent by the system to reset your password (the sender email will be support@dcisoftware.com) to reset the password
    1. Check spam
    2. Please check your spam box if the email is not received in your the inbox
  4. Select Click the blue Reset Password button in the email
  5. The password should be different from the 3 previous passwords
  6. NOTE: This may be different for your program
    1. Please note: The Reset Password link will only be active for a specific amount of time determined by the organization (typically 24 hours), the amount of time is based on the user’s company security policies
      1. After clicking the Reset Password button in the email, if the link is inactive, an alert will appear "Invalid Token. Please contact your DCI administrator to resend the link or select the Resend the email button and proceed back to step 3.
    2. The email Reset Password button will open up the Security Verification webpagepage. The user will have the choice to verify either:
      1. the Security question orSecurity The security question (security questions are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as when created) OR
      2. SSN (social security number) and DOB (date of birth)
    3. Select the Verify button
    4. The Reset Password page will open up. Enter your new password into the two fields, please enter password and please confirm password.

Add/Change PIN

Add/Change PIN

A PIN may be assigned by the organization when a Description: In this topic you will learn how to add or change PIN. DCI allows the ability to add or change a PIN. Your PIN may be assigned to you by your program when your user account is created. Employee PINs can be used to login log in to the mobile app and to clock in and out of the Phone phone EVV system. Client PINs can be used to log into the mobile app or verify historical entries for Phone phone EVV.

  1. Log in with your to personal profile
  2. Click Settings (person icon next to name on the username in the upper right corner of the main menu)
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown drop-down menu
  4. On the sub menu, submenu click either:
    1. Add PIN on the sub menu if you do not have a PIN is not established in the Systemsystem
      1. Once a PIN is established, the Add PIN tab changes to Change PIN
    2. Click Change PIN to change your the established PIN
  5. Enter your the password on the Verify Password screen page and click the blue Verify button
  6. Enter PIN
    1. For New PIN
      1. Enter a 4-digit PIN
      2. Confirm 4-digit PIN
    2. To Change PIN
      1. Enter current 4-digit PINEnter a new 4-digit PIN
      2. Confirm new 4-digit PIN
  7. Click the blue Change PINPin button and then Yes on the alert pop-up box to confirm
  8. The PIN has been successfully added or changed , the user is returned to the Change PIN screen and a green bar will display that PIN has been successfully changed.when the Pin Changed Successfully message is displayed on a green bar

Change Security Question

Description: In this topic you will learn change security questions. DCI allows the user to change security questions. These Securityquestions are used when resetting a password or for other authentication details. Please ensure that you select be sure to select memorable questions and answers that you will remember.

  1. Log in with your to personal profile
  2. Click Settings (person icon next to name on the username in the upper right corner of the main menu)
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown drop-down menu
  4. Click Change Security Question on sub menu on the submenu
  5. Enter your the password on the Verify Password screen page and click the blue Verify button
  6. Select a security question from the drop-down list or select custom question to create your own a unique security question
  7. Enter your the Answer
    1. Answer The answer cannot match the username or password
    2. If the answer is on the commonly used password list, an alert will appear in red stating “The answer you provided was found on a commonly used password list and could be easily guessed. Consider using a different word or phrase.”
      1. To continue with the answer, click the checkbox , for Use this answer anyway.
    3. Click Submit to save the security question
  8. The Security Question security question has been successfully added or changed, the user will be returned to changed when the Security Question screen and Changed Successfully message is displayed on a green bar will display that Security Question has been successfully changed.

Change Email

Description: In this topic you will learn change email address in DCI. This process requires Changing an email address requires a verification step for the new email by receiving and entering a verification code sent to the new email.

  1. Log in with your to personal profile
  2. Click Settings (person icon next to name on the username in the upper right corner of the main menu)
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown drop-down menu
  4. Click Change Security Question on sub menuEnter your password on the Verify Password screen and click VerifyEmail on the submenu
  5. Current email address is populated
  6. Enter new email address
  7. Confirm new email address 
  8. Select Click the blue Change Email button to save the new emailCurrent email
      cell is now locked
    1. New email cell is now locked
    2. Confirm email cell is now locked
    3. Verification code field appears
  9. Change Email cannot be selected until the verification code has been entered
    1. The verification code is included in the system sent via a system-generated email that was sent.
    2. Copy the verification code from the email
    With the Verification code copied, return
    1. Return to DCI and either paste or type
    it
    1. the code into the Verification Code field
    in DCI.
  10. Click Change Emailthe blue Change Email button and then Yes on the alert pop-up box to confirm
  11. The email has been successfully added or changed , the user is returned to the Change Email screen and a green bar will display that email has been successfully changed.

Verify Mobile

  1. when the Email Changed Successfully message is displayed on a green bar
  2. If the User Changed Email message template is enabled, the system sends a notification via the DCI messaging module, and depending on settings, via email to the new email address and via SMS text if the user has a verified mobile number.

Add/Change & Verify Mobile

Users must verify their mobile to Description: In this topic you will learn how to verify your mobile number. If you verify your mobile number with DCI, you will be able to receive SMS text notifications. If you do not verify your mobile numberthe mobile is not verified, the notifications will be sent to your the email or and are available for to view in the DCI messaging center. User can add or change their mobile number prior to verifying it. Additionally, after a user verifies their mobile number, the Verify Mobile submenu tab will update to Change Mobile, allowing users to users to update their own mobile number as needed.

Add/Change Mobile Number
  1. Log in to your personal profileto DCI
  2. Click the usernamein the upper Click your Profile Icon on the main menu in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Click Settings from the profile icon dropdown
  4. corner of the page which is indicated with a person icon
  5. SelectSettings on the drop-down menu
  6. Click Verify Mobile on the submenu 
    1. If the mobile number has already been verified, a green bar will briefly
    Click Verify Mobile on the submenu
    1. If you have already verified your mobile number a green banner will appear with the alert, Your Mobile Number is already Verifiedand the Mobile field will be grayed out (unable to be edited).
  7. Enter (or change) the mobile number
  8. Clickthe blue Send Verification Code button
  9. A green banner stating "Your Verification Code is sent. Please check your registered Mobile Number" will appear.
  10. The userwill receive a verification code via SMS text message. Enter the verification code into the Verification Code field. 
  11. Clickthe blue Verify Mobile button
  12. A green banner stating "Your Mobile Number is Verified" will appear briefly

The mobile number is now verified and will receive SMS text message notifications 

Verify Mobile Number
  1. Log in to DCI

  8. Clickthe blue Send Verification Code button
  9. A green banner will appear with the alert, banner stating "Your Verification Code is sent. Please check your registered Mobile Number" will appear.
