You are able to create availability templates in DCI so that your supervisor knows when you are available to work. To create a new availability template:

Templates must be renewed when they have reached their end date. Changes can be made to pending, published, and approved templates. If an approved template is edited, it must be re-published for supervisor review.

Create an Availability Template

  1. Log in to DCI
  2. Click Availability on the submenu
  3. Click Actions
  4. Select Create Template from the drop-down menu
  5. Complete the Create Template form wizard
    1. Template Name: Create a name for the template (e.g., Jennifer Smith Q3)
    2. Time: Select the start time
    3. To: Select the end time
      1. If different days have different start and/or end times, a separate template must be created.
    4. Date: Select the date the template begins
    5. To: Select the date the template ends
    6. Days: Check the days of the week for the template
  6. Click Save and Yes to confirm
  7. Click Publish 
  8. Repeat to create templates for other time frames on other days of the week

Edit an Availability Template

Make changes to the

template by changing individual entries, or editing the entire template.

  1. To change an individual day, right-click on the entry.
    1. Click “edit” Edit to edit the start and end times
      1. Click Save and  time.
      2. Make the desired changes, then click Save
      3. On the confirmation window, click Yes to apply to just this individual entry. Click “Yes Yes to All” All to apply to all entries on the same day of the week.
    2. Click “delete” Delete to delete the entry from the template.
      1. On the confirmation window, click “Yes” Click Yes to apply to delete just this the individual entry . Click “Yes to All” or click Yes to All to delete all entries on the same day of the week.
  2. To change the entire template, click the pencil icon next to Pending.Repeat steps 3-10 to create templates for other time frames on other days of the week.
  3. When you have finished editing your templatesedits are complete, click Publish.
  4. Select Click the checkbox of the template you wish to send to your the supervisor for approval. If you are not finished with your templates, you can continue working on them at a later time and send to your supervisor when it is complete.Click Yes on the confirmation window.
  5. Click Publish and Save to confirm

The schedule status has changed to Published.
