Description: In this topic you , the user will learn how to create, view or , edit, or deactivate a cost center.

Role Required: SuperuserSuper User

Permission Required: Cost Center Admin

Create Cost Center

  1. Log in to with your personal profileDCI
  2. Click Home on Select Home from the main menu
  3. Select Click Cost Centers from  on the submenu
  4. Select the Click Actions button
  5. Select Add New Cost Center from the Actions dropdown
  6. Fill out the Cost Center form wizard
  7. Click Save
  8. Select Yes in the confirmation alert window

    1. Cost Center Name (required): Generic cost center name recognizable by most users
    2. Cost Center Code (required): Accounting code
    3. Select State (required): State of the cost center
    4. **Cost Center Reference (optional)
    5. **Cost Center Reference 2 (optional)
    6. Certification Template (optional): Select if there are a set of certification requirements specific to the cost center
  2. Status (required): Defaults to active. Switch to inactive when this is no longer a valid cost center.
  3. Click Save to continue and Yes to confirm

View, Edit, or Deactivate Cost Center

  1. Log in with your personal profileto DCI
  2. Click Home on Select Home from the main menu
  3. Select Click Cost Centers from on the submenu
  4. View all Cost Centers listed below the search box
  5. Enter the Cost Center cost center in the search box, then select Search and view the search results below
  6. Select the row of the Cost Center to view or edit by clicking anywhere in the row
  7. filter and click Search 
  8. Click anywhere in the cost center row to open the The Cost Center Details page will open up, view cost center details
  9. Click ActionsSelect the Actions button
  10. Select Edit Cost Center from the Actions dropdowndrop-down menu
  11. View or and make edits in the Cost Center form wizard
    1. To deactivate the cost center, change the status to Inactive.
  12. Click the Save buttonSelect Yes in the confirmation alert window to save changes made to the cost centerand Yes to confirm
