Description: In  In this topic you , the user will learn how to add attachments in DCI. DCI allows attachments to be added to many different functions and profiles in the system. Whether adding an attachment to a clock out, message or profile, the steps are the same for each modality, i.e. mobile app and web portal. This guide will cover these modalities.Role Required:Employee (base user)Permission Required: N/A

The instructions below make the following assumptions:

  • You are logged onto DCI using your personal profile.

  • You have the DCI system element open where you would like to add attachment.

    • For example, you are on the Clock Out screen in the Mobile App or Add Entry screen in the Web Portal.

  • If you need help with clocking in and out, please reference those materials in the help center.

DCI Mobile App

The most common place to add an attachment is at clock out on a shift in the mobile app. Employees use this feature to take a picture that they would like to include in their visit. For example, an employee might want to attach a receipt using this methodthe visit. Another place that  where an attachment can be added in the mobile app is through the messaging module.

Whether you want to add an attachment to a clock out or to a message, follow these instructions when you get to the Add Attachment option.

  2. Locate the Attachment

Add Attachment to other System Element

Superusers, supervisors and users with advance system access can also add attachments to profiles, like Clients or Employees, or system settings, Funding Sources and Authorizations.
