Description:  In this topic you , users will learn how to make an EVV Punch with Portal Signoff enter a punch with portal signoff client attestation (*EVV) in the mobile app for web portal signoff verification. If you are using the DCI mobile App to record EVV punches and you are using Portal Signoff as a verification method, follow the steps in this guide below.the client is not present, willing, or able to complete any of the real-time signoff options, then portal signoff may be an option. The signoff process is not complete until the client, guardian, or employer logs in and approves the punch in the web portal.

*Please note: EVV is determined by each state in conjunction with federal law.

The instructions below are for collecting portal signoff attestation at clock out only, however, portal signoff attestation may be prompted at intervals determined by the organization. Options include:

  • Clock in only

  • Clock out only

  • Clock in and clock out

  • Clock in, clock out, and defined intervals (i.e., hourly)

Clock In on the Mobile App

  1. Open the application.DCI EVV app

  2. Log in to Login to your personal profile.

  3. Click the blue Click Clock In button on the Dashboard.

    1. NOTE - The Clock In button will not display if you have an open shift. If you login and you see the blue Continue to ClockoutClock Out button displayed that means that you is displayed instead of Clock In, this means the user did not clock out of your their last shift and have needs to complete that the clock out process before you can clock clocking in again.

  4. Complete the Clock In screen.

    1. Client - If you have one Client only, then this field will be automatically filled out for you. If you have more than one Client click on the field and then select your client from the listonly one client the field will auto-populate. If more than one client, click the field to select the appropriate client then click OK to confirm.

    2. Service Code -   If you have one Service Code only, then this field will be automatically filled out for you. If you have more than one Service Code click on the field and then select your client from the listonly one service code the field will auto-populate. If more than one service code, click the field to select the appropriate service code then click OK to confirm.

    3. Cost Center - The cost center Cost Center will be filled out automatically. There is no action to take here.

  5. Click the Continue button.

  6. Click Confirm Clock In to complete the clock in process.

  11. the clock in, including the authorization remaining balance if enabled.

  18. Select EVV Location if applicable and click OK

  19. Click Confirm Clock In

Clock Out on the Mobile App

  1. Open the DCI EVV app

  2. Log in to Login to your personal profile.

  3. Click the blue Click Continue to Clockout button.

  4. Click Confirm.

  5. Click Portal Sign Off

  6. Click Confirm

    1. NOTE: If the consumer is not present, willing or able to complete one of the real-time sign off options, then Portal Sign Off may be an option for you. The signoff process is not complete until the client or authorized client representative logs in and signs off on the entry in the DCI web portal.

  7. Add optional notes or attachments.

    1. Once EVV verification has been completed, you are able to add notes and attachments from your visit.

    2. The note functionality works using the keyboard of your mobile device. You can enter notes in DCI the same way that you would type a text message or email on your mobile device. This means that if you have talk-to-text option on your mobile device, you can use the microphone feature to enter your notes by talking.

      1. Entering notes is Optional, follow your organization’s requirements regarding note taking.

    3. Add Attachment is an Optional field that allows you to take a picture and add it to the note. This is optional as well.

  8. Click Confirm Clock Out.

  9. Click Confirm through the alert

  10. Select Portal Signoff

  11. Click Confirm

  12. Add Notes and/or Attachments (optional based on organization requirements)

    1. Add notes functionality works using the device keyboard. If talk-to-text is enabled as an option on the mobile device, the microphone feature may be used to enter notes by speaking.

  13. Click Confirm Clock Out

  14. Shift details will be displayed. ClickYour shift details will be displayed, click Home to return to the Dashboard.
