Description: In this topic, the user will learn how to add attachments. The most common place to add an attachment is at clock out in the mobile app. Employees use this feature to take a picture to include in the visit. Another place where an attachment can be added in the mobile app is the messaging module.

Mobile App

The most common place to add an attachment is at clock out on a shift in the mobile app. Employees use this feature to take a picture that they would like to include in their visit. For example, an employee might want to attach a receipt using this method. Another place that an attachment can be added in the mobile app is through the messaging module.

Whether you want to add an attachment to a clock out or to a message, follow these instructions when you get to the Add Attachment option.

  1. You are logged onto DCI with your personal profile and the element that you would like to add an attachment to.

  2. Click Add Attachment

  3. A system alert will display the following, "All DCI EVV to take pictures and record video?"

    1. Click Don't Allow to cancel adding an attachment

    1. The response options are: While using the app, Only this time, Don't allow

    2. Click While using the app or Only this time

  4. The camera will open on your smart device.

  5. Click the Check icon to take the picture.

    1. To retake the picture click the Refresh icon.

    2. To cancel taking a picture click the X icon.

  6. Click Confirm to validate the picture and add attachment.

  7. Complete and save per your normal process.

Add an Attachment at Time Entry through the Web Portal

  1. You are logged onto DCI with your personal profile and the Add New Entry form wizard is open.

  2. Find the Attachments field at the bottom of the form wizard.

  3. Click Choose File

  4. The file explorer will open

    1. Find your file in the folders and subfolders within the library or folder you're viewing.

    2. You can also enter search terms to narrow results.

  5. Click on the file you wish to attach once it is located and the file will automatically begin to upload

  6. The upload is now complete and the file will display below the Attachments.

    1. You can only add one attachment.

    2. Click the blue Minus (-) button to remove the attachment.

  7. Complete and save the entry per your normal process.
