Auto Approval Setting for Manual Entry Check
A new instance-level setting for auto approval, called auto approval manual entry validation is now available for account type Hourly! This new feature checks to see if an entry was made in real-time or was entered manually (not verified in real time).
Real time entries that pass the manual entry check include entries made via:
Real time mobile app
Real time phone IVR
FOB entry with valid tokens
All other entries are considered manual entries and fail the check
These entries are flagged for review and indicated by the red eye icon in the Needs Review column on the Pending Entries page. Supporting text when hovering over the eye icon states “Manual Entry.”
The Auto Approval tab on the punch detail page displays a new column indicating whether the manual check was attempted. This column displays for entries with account type Hourly. It does not display for Client Transportation entries.
If the result is “Not Approved,” the Failure Reason displays “Manual Entry: This punch was not verified in real time.”
The Events tab on the punch detail page displays an event when the Manual Entry validation runs. Events display as:
Subject: Auto Approved Manual Entry Check
Description: Failed or Passed
If the entry failed validation, a separate event displays on the Events tab as:
Subject: Punch Auto Approve Failed
Description: Manual Entry: This punch was not verified in real time
Optional to enable is the message template Punch Auto Approve Failed. Use the macros Annotation Data and Reason For Failure in the message template to auto-populate the message to include the reason the manual entry validation failed.
The Auto Approval Report includes the Manual Entry validation failure reason

Cost Center Payroll Container
In DCI a payroll container is the overtime grouping method. A new payroll container has been added - Cost Center Payroll Container. The cost center payroll container groups the employee punches by cost center and then evaluates for overtime. This feature is intended for organizations in which each cost center represents a separate employment entity for caregivers.
*Please note: This feature is only available for organizations with instances running in fiscal intermediary (FI) security mode and is an instance level setting. There are eligibility limitations and steps needed to implement for this feature. Please submit a DCI support ticket to request more information from a DCI account manager.
