Change Password

Description: In this topic you will learn how to change your password. DCI allows a user to change their password at any time in the system settings.

  1. Log in with your personal profile
  2. Click Settings icon , next to your name on the main menu
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown menu
  4. Click Change Password on the sub menu
  5. Enter Current Password
  6. Enter New Password according to password criteria
    1. Hover over the i icon to display your organization password criteria
      1. Password criteria and policy is set by your organization security settings
    2. Enter New Password again in Confirm Password field
    3. Click Change Password to complete change
    4. Click Yes to confirmation alert window
    5. Your password has been successfully updated when the success message is displayed in green

Forgot Password

Description: In this topic you will learn what to do if you forget your password.

  1. On the DCI Portal login page a forgot password function
    1. For the web portal click the Forgot your password? blue hyper link on the login page
    2. For the mobile app click the Forgot Password? blue hyperlink on the login page
  2. Enter your email address and select the Send Reset Email button
  3. Locate the email sent by the system to reset your password (the sender email will be support@dcisoftware.com)
    1. Please check your spam box if the email is not received in your inbox
  4. Select the Reset Password button in the email
    1. Please note: The Reset Password link will only be active for a specific amount of time (typically 24 hours), the amount of time is based on the user’s company security policies
      1. After clicking the Reset Password button in the email if the link is inactive, an alert will appear "Invalid Token. Please contact your DCI administrator to resend the link or select the Resend the email button and proceed back to step 3.
    2. The email will open up the Security Verification webpage. The user will have the choice to verify either:
      1. the Security question or
        1. Security questions are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as when created
      2. SSN (social security number) and DOB (date of birth)
    3. Select the Verify button
    4. The Reset Password page will open up. Enter your new password into the two fields, please enter password and please confirm password.
      1. Password Criteria example
        1. Must be at least 10 characters
        2. Must contain 1 uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
  • Must not contain more than two repeated characters in a row
  1. The password should be different from the 3 previous passwords
  2. NOTE: This may be different for your program
  1. Select the Reset button
  2. The user password is now reset and is active to use for logging in

Please note: If the user is unable to verify the security question or SSN and DOB, contact your supervisor or employer for assistance. They will send a reset password email that will allow the user to reset the security question.

Add/Change PIN

Description: In this topic you will learn how to add or change PIN. DCI allows the ability to add or change a PIN. Your PIN may be assigned to you by your program when your user account is created. Employee PINs can be used to login to the mobile app and to clock in and out of the Phone EVV system. Client PINs can be used to log into the mobile app or verify historical entries for Phone EVV.

  1. Log in with your personal profile
  2. Click Settings icon next to name on the main menu
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown menu
  4. On the sub menu, click:
    1. Add PIN on the sub menu if you do not have a PIN established in the System
      1. Once a PIN is established, the Add PIN tab changes to Change PIN
    2. Click Change PIN to change your established PIN
  5. Enter your password on the Verify Password screen and click Verify
  6. Enter PIN
    1. For New PIN
      1. Enter a 4-digit PIN
      2. Confirm 4-digit PIN
    2. To Change PIN
      1. Enter current 4-digit PIN
      2. Enter a 4-digit PIN
  • Confirm 4-digit PIN
  1. Click Change PIN and then Yes to confirm
  2. The PIN has been successfully added or changed, the user is returned to the Change PIN screen and a green bar will display that PIN has been successfully changed.

Change Security Question

Description: In this topic you will learn change security questions. DCI allows the user to change security questions. These questions are used when resetting a password or for other authentication details. Please ensure that you select questions and answers that you will remember.

  1. Log in with your personal profile
  2. Click Settings icon next to name on the main menu
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown menu
  4. Click Change Security Question on sub menu
  5. Enter your password on the Verify Password screen and click Verify
  6. Select security question from the drop-down list or select custom question to create your own security question
  7. Enter your Answer
    1. Answer cannot match username or password
    2. If the answer is on the commonly used password list, an alert will appear in red “The answer you provided was found on a commonly used password list and could be easily guessed. Consider using a different word or phrase.”
      1. To continue with the answer, click the checkbox, Use this answer anyway.
    3. Click Submit to save security question
    4. The Security Question has been successfully added or changed, the user will be returned to the Security Question screen and a green bar will display that Security Question has been successfully changed.

Change Email

Description: In this topic you will learn change email address in DCI. This process requires a verification step for the new email by receiving and entering a verification code sent to the new email.

  1. Log in with your personal profile
  2. Click Settings icon next to name on the main menu
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown menu
  4. Click Change Security Question on sub menu
  5. Enter your password on the Verify Password screen and click Verify
  6. Current email is populated
  7. Enter new email
  8. Confirm new email
  9. Select Change Email to save the new email
    1. Current email cell is now locked
    2. New email cell is now locked
    3. Confirm email cell is now locked
    4. Verification code field appears
  10. Change Email cannot be selected until the verification code has been entered
    1. The verification code is included in the system generated email that was sent.
    2. Copy the verification code from the email
  11. With the Verification code copied, return to DCI and either paste or type it into the Verification Code field in DCI.
  12. Click Change Email
  13. The email has been successfully added or changed, the user is returned to the Change Email screen and a green bar will display that email has been successfully changed.

Verify Mobile

Description: In this topic you will learn how to verify your mobile number. If you verify your mobile number with DCI, you will be able to receive SMS text notifications. If you do not verify your mobile number, the notifications will be sent to your email or available for view in the DCI messaging center.

  1. Log in to your personal profile
  2. Click your Profile Icon on the main menu in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Click Settings from the profile icon dropdown
  4. Click Verify Mobile on the submenu
    1. If you have already verified your mobile number a green banner will appear with the alert, Your Mobile Number is already Verified.
  5. Enter your mobile number in the Mobile field
  6. Click Update Mobile Number
    1. A green banner will appear with the alert, Your Mobile Number is updated. Please verify mobile number.
  7. Click Send Verification Code
    1. A green banner will appear with the alert, Your Verification Code is sent. Please check your registered Mobile Number.
  8. You will receive a verification code vis SMS text message, enter the verification code into the Verification Code field
  9. Click Verify Mobile
  10. Your mobile number is now verified and will receive SMS text message notifications

Change Username

Description: In this topic you will learn how to change your username. DCI allows a user to change their username at any time in the system settings.

  1. Log in with your personal profile
  2. Click Settings icon next to name on the main menu
  3. Click Settings on the dropdown menu
  4. Click Change Username on the sub menu
  5. Enter current Username
  6. Enter new Username
  7. Click Change Username to complete change
  8. Click Yes to confirm
  9. The success message is displayed in green when the password has been successfully updated
