Description: In this topic you will learn how to renew an authorization. When an existing authorization expires and you receive a new authorization for the same Client Funding Account, you should Renew Authorization instead of creating a new authorization. New authorizations should be created when there is a new service, which also requires a new Client Funding Account.

Role Required: Authorizations Role/Billing Team Role

Permission Required: Authorizations Admin Permission

Renew an authorization

  1. Log in to DCI with your personal profile.

  2. Click the Authorization from the main menu.

  3. Click the Authorization tab the sub menu.

  4. Fill in the Client Name and Service Code filters on the Authorizations screen and click Search.

  5. Click anywhere on the authorization to open the Authorization Details screen.

  6. Click Actions.

  7. Click Renew Authorization.

    1. Fill in all editable fields on the Renew Authorization Form, which include the new date, balance and max information.

  8. Click Save.

  9. Click Yes on the confirmation window


Approve the renewed authorization from the Authorization Screen

  1. Log in to DCI with your personal profile.

  2. Click the Authorization from the main menu.

  3. Click the Authorization tab the sub menu.

  4. Fill in the Client Name and Service Code filters on the Authorizations screen and click Search.

  5. Click anywhere on the authorization to open the Authorization Details screen.

  6. Click Actions

  7. Click Approve Authorization

  8. Click Yes on the confirmation window


From the Pending Authorizations Screen

  1. Log in to DCI with your personal profile.

  2. Click the Authorization from the main menu.

  3. Click the Authorization tab the sub menu.

  4. Click Pending Authorizations on the sub menu.

  5. Click A in the authorization row.

  6. Click Yes on the confirmation window.
